Duluth Weekend Ride

 We have booked a room for Friday and Saturday night. We will arrive late Friday night. See everybody Friday night.😄

Clint and I plan to attend. Clint will likely ride up with the group on Friday, but I'll have to come up on Friday evening. Looking forward to the Saturday ride.

Glad all you folks can make it. Due to the big storm that rolled thru here last Friday, the place I was going to hold the meet and greet is still without power. I did not get power back until 11:30 yesterday, so I'm thinking we can all meet at Days inn and take a ride down to Grandmas Restaurant in Canel Park for dinner on Friday evening.

Sorry, I've been under the weather and "off-the-air" for a few days.  Grandmas (Canal Park) sounds great, Jay!

I'm going with my original plan to meet at Waldochs leaving at 9:30a.  So far I'll be looking for Ted and Judy, Jerry, Keith and Yoko, and Clint.  Along with Jay and Liz, we'll see Rich and Glenda, Jerry, Clint, and Rick later Friday evening.  We can leave a bit earlier if everyone is ready.  If you're planning on coming and we haven't heard from you, please reply here or definitely be at Waldoch by 9:15a.

FYI - there is a large, new gas station just south of Waldoch (shown here).

Edit: here is my best estimate for gas and route segments. 
The only gas stop will be 80 miles after Waldoch.  You may not need to start topped off - usually a good idea, but its your choice.  Our lunch stop will be about 30 miles past the gas stop.

The Days Inn will be a little over 100 miles from our gas stop.  The round trip to Grandma's for supper would add roughly 15 additional miles.  (I will fill up after that.)

Alan, I have my bike at the dealer getting tires put on so I will not be riding up with the group Friday morning. I will be riding up with Rick Friday evening. At this time Clint is also planning on coming up with Rick and I. Looking forward to seeing everyone Friday evening.

Those that are interested, I have reservations at Grandmas Saloon and Deli in Canal Park at 7:30 tonight (Friday) and Farley's Family Restaurant for breakfast at 8:15am Saturday, corner of Hwy 53 and Stebner Rd. (take right on Stebner).

What a great weekend. Beautiful weather, outstanding rides and great people to enjoy it with. Thank you Jay and Liz for once again planning this and hosting us in your beautiful city. And thank you Alan for leading us up and back. Again,some great riding and roads. No downs, but some significant ups - if you know what we mean.
It was great visiting with everyone and making some knew friends. Already looking forward to doing it again next year.

We had a GREAT weekend!  Jay and Liz are fantastic hosts and had a full and fun weekend planned - including the weather (how did they do that?)!     It was all good from taking the day Friday for the ride up, all the rides and socializing while in the Duluth area, to the return trip home including lunch at a new place that I'm sure we'll return to.   Great weather, riding, food and friends to share it all with ... yup, that's our STAR formula!
