Persephonee's star event

My beautiful 5 1/2 year old granddaughter Persephonee passed away suddenly in February from a rare Strep infection. We all love and miss her desperately and it has been so difficult.

One of the things that helps a little is to do things in her honor. So we are doing a fund raiser for the Ronald McDonald House on Monday, June 8th at 7 pm at the Brave New Workshop on Hennepin Ave. We hope to raise enough to have Perseponee?s name placed on the star wall at the Ronald McDonald house at Children?s Hospital in Minneapolis. There will be a silent auction, games and prizes, and live comedy Imrovisation. Refreshments will be available. It will be an evening of laughing and happiness centered on her. Details are at the link below where you can purchase a ticket and/or make a donation. All proceeds go to the RMH, even the total cost of the tickets.

If you can?t attend but would like to make a donation you can go to the website and use the donation link toward the bottom of the page where it will be credited toward Persephonee?s star. Don?t use the donation link on the upper left side of the page. That is for general donations.

I want to say thank you to everyone who donated and/or bought tickets to the Ronald McDonald House fund raiser event we held last night. We were hoping to raise $5000.00. Well, we not only reached our goal we doubled it. Through tickets sold, donations made, and the silent auction we raised a little over $10,000.00!  Persephonee?s name will now be on a star at the entrance to the Ronald McDonald house at Children?s Hospital in Minneapolis!

And every penny goes to the RMH. There is no administration fee and no room rental cost for the event (it was donated by the Brave New Workshop). So thank you all very much.

I also want to thank those who were unable to buy a ticket or make a donation. Thank you for reading Persephonee?s name.
