Hillsboro WI Weekend Trip

Our annual trip to Hillsboro WI is scheduled for Friday, June 22 - Monday, June 24, 2018. A block of rooms is being held at the Hotel Hillsboro - 608-489-3000, under STAR or my name RICK GORTER. If you wish to attend, and no rooms are available, let me know since we may have rooms reserved that we can let go. If you cannot attend for all four days, come for a portion of the trip. Hillsboro is a small town east of La Crosse, WI, and the hotel is a really nice, reasonably-priced hotel with a bar/restaurant attached to it. This is Mississippi bluff country, and the roads are terrific.

Our tentative plan is to ride down to Hillsboro on Friday, hold our own Poker Ride on Saturday, more riding on Sunday morning, and attending the "Chicken Feed" at the Rockton Bar on Sunday at noon. We'll head home on Monday. Most of Chapter 292 has made this trip multiple times, so you can ask questions of any of them.

Ok here is the plan for the ride down to Hillsboro Friday, June 22nd. We will be meeting at the Point in Hastings at 9:30am with KSU at 10:00am. Chapter 292 will be meeting for Breakfast at Perkins but this will be a new Perkins because the one we always meet at is closed. We will meet at Perkins at 8:00am and leave for the Point at 9:00am. The address is 4917 Eden Ave, Edina, Hwy 100 and 50th street. From the Point we will be taking Hwy 52 south then 16 thru Houston to La Crosse, stoping for lunch then on to Hillsboro.

Rick and I did the pre ride for this event last weekend and the place we are stoping for lunch on Friday is cash only, no credit or debit cards. So, no cash no lunch.

Coincidentally, I planned to stop at the same place for lunch on the poker run on Saturday! Cash is king!!
