The View Motel Ride

If there is enough interest, I would like to plan a midweek trip to the View in Elizabeth, IL. I'm thinking a three night stay, so that we would have a scenic ride down on day one, two full days to explore the area, and a day to take a different route home. It could either be a Monday through Thursday, or a Tuesday through Friday. I would also consider cutting back on a day of exploring and making it a three day trip.
Andy has 11 rooms, four with one queen, and 7 with 2 queens. I would like to book the whole motel, but Andy indicated that if we had enough interest that he would close the place to the general public. The week day rates are $69 for a single and $74 for a double, plus tax.
The View is 10 miles South of Galena, which is a beautiful Historic Town, but also a popular tourist destination. The area should offer plenty of nice hilly riding in either Western IL. or Eastern Iowa.
If permitted, I will plan on discussing this briefly at the meeting this Saturday.

I would love to go; however, I am in Alaska May 24 - June 3, Colorado June 18-22, and Smoky Mountains August 26-September 9.  I still have a day job that gets in the way of my riding.  I can likely go except for the dates above.  Thank you for organizing and planning.  This trip sounds awesome!

I've not been to this area and would be interested in the future. I'm using my quota of vacation days dedicated to riding going to Utah this year. I hope you propose this ride again some time.
