For everyone planning to go to Hillsboro this year here is the finial plans. If you are planning on having breakfast with 292 we will be meeting at the Perkins at 8am on 50th and Hwy 100 at 8:00am. We will be leaving there at about 8:45am and heading to the Point. For those that will just be meeting us at the Point we will be there at about 9:15am for a 9:45am departure. We will be taking HWY 10 east in Wisconsin. We will be stopping in Ellsworth then making a fuel stop in Whitehall, about 100 miles from the Point. We will be stopping for lunch in Melrose at the L & M Café. During the pre-ride with the stops it was about a 4-hour ride to lunch so please plan accordingly for lunch at about 2pm. After lunch we are onto Hillsboro with one stop in between. This will be a rain or shine event so plan accordingly. I hope we have a good turnout because this event is always a good time. Any questions please let me know.

Rides / Hillsboro Trip

We will again make our annual trek to Hillsboro WI in June. A route is being planned for the trip down on Friday, June 21, and a group ride is being planned for Saturday, June 22. On Sunday June 23 I will lead a shorter morning ride ending at the chicken feed in Rockton. Most will return home on Monday, June 24.

Several members plan to do some pre-riding of routes on the weekend of June 7-9, so final details won't be available until we have tested the planned routes.

Tousley Motorsports will be holding an Open House on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 to 5:00. Their Marketing Manager Emily Bierbrauer has invited both chapters to participate. This is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for the use of their meeting room and the doughnuts they provide us.

We will be setting up an information table about our Chapters and Star Touring and Riding. They would also like help with the demo rides and the bouncy castle. Or you can just show up and hang out for a while.

If you would like to help us with the information table respond here on the forum or just show up and we will take turns attending it.

Rides / COPPER HARBOR MICH TRIP

Gene Eddleston and I are planning a 3-day trip to Copper Harbor MI on July 12-14, 2019. We will leave on Friday and ride to a resort where we will stay 2 nights (Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th). On Saturday we will ride through the Porcupine mountains, up to Copper Harbor for lunch, and then back to the resort. We will return home on Sunday.

We are staying at The Konteka Black Bear Resort, 400 Main St, White Pine, MI (thekonteka.com) (906) 885-5170. The Konteka has 16 double queen motel rooms, a gift shop and convenience store, a restaurant, a lounge, a bowling alley, and a single gas pump. Rooms are $99/night all in. They have a 7-day cancellation policy.

If you are interested, make your reservations now since this area gets busy in the summertime. Contact Gene or me if you have questions.
