SW MN STAR Chapter-Get-Together June 5 - 7, 2015 in Worthington, MN

Our friends from Chapter 475 in Marshall are planning a Minnesota STAR Chapter-Get-Together for the weekend of June 5 - 7, 2015,
and invite all other Minnesota chapters to come visit and ride with them in their neck of the woods.

More information will shortly be forthcoming in regards to lodging and activities.

We all had so much fun last Fall in Preston, and here is an opportunity to do it again!
Take a look at your calendar and if you can make it, you'll have a great time!

Just a follow up on the SW MN Ride ? for Friday night we have a group reservation for Brau Brother?s micro-brewery dinner starting at 7:30 pm.  If any of you are staying in Worthington we planning on having dinner at the restaurant at the Travelodge ? but that hasn?t been confirmed yet but the Yamaha dealer spoke highly about how good the food is there.  Also, the block reservation for the group ends 30 days before the date.  So the group block reservation ends April (May?) 6th, so please make your reservation if you are going to join us.

Yesterday we did find at the Pipestone National Park that there is a $3 dollar admission fee, but if you are 62 you can get a permanent national parks card for only $10 and that with that card you can let in yourself and three others.  So we may ?bundle? riders into the park who don?t have a pass.

I know a few of you have schedule conflicts but I hope as many of you that can will ride and/or help Friday evening and/or Saturday morning I think this will be fun.  Rob

The way the schedule is written it looks to me like we are staying at the Ramada in Marshall Friday night and at the Travelodge in Worthington Saturday night. So I booked Friday night at the Ramada and I'll be staying Saturday night at the Travelodge. Is that how the rest of you booked it? The Travelodge is a lot cheaper anyway.

I've just added the poll above - please vote to let us know who is planning on joining us.

I'm putting a route together for a group ride down to Marshall.  We'll have lunch in St. Peter at a BBQ place that I've heard good things about.  I'll try to duck out in the next 10 days for a pre-ride and a check out of the place if I can.  Certainly don't want to subject anyone to untested BBQ.

Initial plan is to meet at around 10:30 at the Holiday station south of I-694 I-494 and MN100 with KSU at about 11am.  For any riders who would have to backtrack east to MN100, or just want to avoid more of the west metro, we can have a pickup point on the way toward Henderson - maybe north of Belle Plaine?   Suggest something.

After an hour or so for lunch and gas-up, about another 100 miles gets us to the Marshall Ramada by around 4:30.

At the Shell station on 19 just east of the main intersection downtown Henderson.  Depending on my traffic, I hope to get there at about noon-fifteen .
